Operating Principle: Pillow Bag |
The separating system, which includes a suction mechanism and a separation grate
always removes the top bag from the magazine and deposits it on the opening table with
pinpoint accuracy. |

Two rows of suction cups open the bag and place it onto the filling spout. |
The filling process begins when the filling spout swings down and the product
slides gently into the bag. This gentle filling method minimizes dust. |

The integral spreader at the filling spout spreads the bag in preparation for the
downstream bag-closing machine (heat seal and/or sewing). A wide range of safety devices ensure trouble free operation. |

The ABF's filling spout for gusseted bags was developed with an integrated
clamping system. Each bag is fitted to the spout and held in position by clamps, while a
second pair of clamps hold the gussets on both sides of the filling spout. This ensures
that the gussets never unfold or have to be reformed. |

After the filling cycle, the bag is transferred from the filling spout to
the spreading device. This device places the filled bag on the conveyor below and
straightens the open mouth of the bag, preventing the gussets from opening as the bags
enter the closing machine. |
