Gravity Feed Gate
One of the major components of the Net Weigh Scale and Bulk Bag (FIBC) Fillers that deserves to be mentioned is the Material Feed Gate. The importance of the feed gate is to control the material being filled to enable a fast but smooth and accurate fill of bags, boxes, drums, or pails. 
Working hand in hand with the whole picture, the feed gate allows for two different filling speeds; bulk and dribble. To be able to fill at two different speeds helps the filling process by cutting down filling times with the bulk fill and improving accuracy rates when the dribble mode is being used. The bulk filling setting is the fast setting in which product is allowed to move freely without any restriction. Dribble filling is achieved by a catch gate that reduces the amount of space the product has to flow through on its way into the bag.
Flexibility to fill different products is not an issue with the feed gate designed by PSI. The bulk cylinder is adjustable to enable the bulk-feed rate to be varied for different products. The bulk-feed opening is also adjustable over the entire radius of the catch gate. And lastly, a dust sleeve is placed between the feed gate and the scale housing to keep dust-tightness to the greatest extent possible.
