Palletizing

Model 2150 Semi-Automatic

As part of the Series 2000 Palletizers, the Model 2150 Semi-Automatic Palletizer is built with the same rugged, heavy duty design that PSI has come to be known for. This system is mostly automated with limited operator responsibilities; the palletizer will keep track of the number of layers formed and change pallets automatically. There is no strenuous lifting required; the bags are brought to the operator by the in-feed conveyor and from there, the operator need only slide the bags to their appropriate position. The bags glide easily on the air table, further reducing the possibility of an injury. After a layer is formed, two palm buttons need to be pressed to open the load plates in order to drop the layer on the pallet.

As is standard with the whole Series 2000 Palletizers, the layer is made tight with the “Four-Sided Squaring” prior to the opening of the load plates. Additionally, the layer is compressed against the bottom of the load plates after the layer is set on the pallet load. Both of these actions make for a nice, clean looking pallet and allow for pallet stacking within a warehouse. Empty pallets are kept in the pallet dispenser with capacity to hold up to 12-14 pallets and can be modified to hold up to 20. The empty pallets move on a wire mesh conveyor to minimize complications from bad or broken pallets. PSI manufactures various different conveyors and bag flatteners to provide flexibility to the different applications possible in a bag filling and palletizing operation.
